These terms are general pre-booking information. The final agreement, availability, pricing and vessel-specific conditions are confirmed in writing by the Trips On The Sea team.
1. Requests and booking confirmation
- Submitting a website form is an availability request, not an automatically confirmed booking.
- A booking is confirmed only after written acceptance by Trips On The Sea and, where required, after deposit or full payment.
- The customer must provide accurate date, time, passenger number, contact details and any special needs or medical information that may affect trip safety.
2. Skippered boats
- For skippered trips or rentals, the skipper has final authority over safe navigation, route selection, stops and return timing.
- Passengers must follow the skipper’s and crew’s instructions immediately, especially during boarding, disembarking, anchoring, swimming and weather changes.
- The skipper may modify, limit or cancel a route when weather, sea state or operational conditions are not suitable.
3. Boats without skipper
- For bareboat rental, the operator must be an adult, capable of handling the vessel and fully follow the safety briefing given before departure.
- Where Greek law or the vessel’s documents require a speedboat operator licence, the customer must present a valid licence recognised by the Greek authorities.
- Boats offered as no-licence options can be provided only where permitted by applicable regulations, the vessel category/power and company policy.
- The bareboat operator accepts responsibility for safe navigation within the permitted area, safe distances, avoiding dangerous manoeuvres and returning at the agreed time.
4. Passengers, capacity and behaviour
- Passenger numbers must never exceed the legal capacity stated in each vessel’s documents.
- Children and non-swimmers must be declared before departure so that suitable instructions and flotation equipment can be provided.
- Dangerous behaviour, intoxication of the operator, drug use, illegal items and any action that endangers passengers, third parties or the vessel are prohibited.
5. Weather, changes and cancellations
- Safety comes before the booking. If weather or sea state does not allow safe operation, Trips On The Sea may suggest a time change, date change, modified route or cancellation.
- If the customer is late, the available trip time may be reduced without an automatic price reduction.
- Deposit, refund, last-minute cancellation and no-show conditions are confirmed in writing for each booking.
6. Fuel, damage and personal belongings
- Whether fuel is included or charged separately is stated in the final offer or agreement.
- The customer may be charged for damage caused by misuse, breach of instructions or negligence.
- Trips On The Sea is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless company liability is proven under applicable law.
7. Environment and local rules
- Throwing rubbish, plastics, oils or any objects into the sea is prohibited.
- Passengers must respect beaches, protected areas, fishing gear, swimmers and other vessels.
- Access to certain areas may be restricted by local regulations, weather conditions or instructions from the authorities.
